THE ROLE OF PRE-SALES CONSULTANT

We're looking to recruit a smart, ambitious and supply chain savvy Pre-Sales Consultant to help our team take our growth to the next level.

The Pre-Sales Consultant will be primarily responsible for solution expertise in pursuit of closing new deals and acquiring new customers onto the MPO Platform. In addition, as time permits, this role will also provide support to the commercial team on business development, sales, and marketing related efforts (which may change over time to cope with company growth).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Pre-sales Solution Consultancy
    • Provide full MPO solutions and presales consultancy to qualify, participate to and advance sales opportunities through each stage of the sales cycle
    • Engage with targeted prospects to identify supply chain problems, ascertain and explain MPO’s unique ability to solve them
    • Develop domain-specific solutions, demos, solution presentations and messaging.
    • Demonstrate the MPO platform to suit the proposed solution to prospects; develop custom demo models that are tailored to solving prospects pain-points
    • Leverage business acumen to understand and present the higher-order value proposition to a prospect who may have multiple improvement opportunities.
    • Navigate complex prospect environments and political landscape to drive consensus amongst the stakeholders
    • Cross-train teammates on MPO solutions and provide expertise where required
  2. RFI/RFP Process 
    • Responsible for completing and delivering MPO Responses for prospect RFI/RFP, and submission on-time working in conjunction with sales account executive
  3. Business Case/ROI
    • Utilize existing or develop prospect-specific ROI models in support of the project
    • Present and seek consensus on the business case/ROI
  4. Commercial Activities Support
    • Support marketing and business development activities as required
    • Assist commercial team with partner enablement activities
    • Workclosely with the Marketing and Sales teams

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Business Management or Information Technology, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Must have 10-15 years of experience in SCM software, with 5+ years of experience in a senior presales role providing technical support
  • Must have supply chain logistics, transportation. Experience with order and inventory management is highly desirable
  • Must have hands on software demo experience
  • Must have customer facing presentation, and excellent customer engagement skills
  • Proven track record of sales, design and implementation of complex software solutions, preferably Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Natural solution consultant with commercial, persuasive, coaching and consultative skills with proven success using best practices for engineering pre-sales solutions.
  • Business acumen to recognize solution differentiators against competition.
  • Showing passion for innovative technology and creative people, being part of learning organization and improvement culture, and stimulating high energy levels
  • Exhibiting entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do mentality to support company growth.
  • Work with diverse teams across US, Europe, and other regions, with proficiency in English. Other language skills are welcome.
  • Efficient and effective communication skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize and distill complex issues down to simplicity.
  • Engage and work collaboratively with prospects, customers, partners, sales and industry influencers.
  • Located in Europa, preferably the Netherlands.
